Public Library

The Marfa Public Library offers over 20,000 volumes of books, audiobooks, an award-winning Texana collection, and a large collection of children's books. Film classics, foreign, award-winning, en español, and more are available to check out on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Other services include printing black & white and color copies, a copy machine, a fax machine, laminating, seven computers, local newspapers, more than 20 titles of magazines, and free wifi.

 The library director and staff manage all aspects of the Marfa Public Library's daily operations, in addition to supporting its ongoing programming, public relations, development initiatives, and technology management.

Board President Gary Oliver has shown more than 2,400 films since October 2004 in the library's state-of-the-art theatre.

Friends of the Marfa Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to supporting the library system and literary programs by fundraising, advocating, and providing financial support.
