City Council

Marfa's City Council creates policy for the town, serving as the local government's legislative branch. They approve the final budget and set the vision and course for the city’s future through strategic planning. City Council also appoints local residents as members to Marfa's Boards and Commission and Advisory Committees.

City Council is composed of five Marfa citizens who are elected to serve at large. Council Members serve two-year staggered terms with an election held each May.
