Planning & Zoning

Marfa’s Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission is an advisory body to the Marfa City Council. The Commission holds public hearings, solicits citizen input, and makes recommendations regarding zoning regulations within the various use districts. The Commission also maintains and makes recommendations regarding the City’s zoning map. Additionally, the Commission authorizes subdivision plats (or plots of land), and it vacates plats and replats in accordance with the ordinance.

The P&Z Commission generally meets once a month in the Casner Room at Marfa City Hall.
