Council Seeking Letters of Interest for Unfilled Seat

On May 26, 2022 the Marfa City Council decided to fill a vacant Council position through appointment following solicitation of interest from members of the public. 

Citizens that are interested in serving on the City Council for this unexpired term (July 2022 to May 2023) are encouraged to submit letters of interest to City Manager Mandy Roane as follows:

  1. Letter of Interest outlining your qualifications, community engagement and why you would like to serve.
  2. Letters of Interest are to be in sealed envelopes and delivered or mailed to:

  1. ALL LETTERS OF INTEREST ARE DUE BY 4:00 PM ON June 28, 2022
  2. Applicants  must be 18 years old, a U.S. citizen and have resided within the city limits of Marfa for at least 6 months.

 

City Council will review and consider the letters of interest at the June 30, 2022 Council meeting. It is anticipated that Council will vote to make an appointment at the same meeting.
